Kinship

Kinship or Approved Resource – A relative home that provides temporary or long term care of a child whose care and custody or Guardianship and custody have been transferred to an authorized agency. The child is cared for 24 hours a day in a family home with a resource or foster parent who is a relative, by blood or marriage, within the second or third degree to the parent or step-parent of the child and who is approved (licensed) by an authorized agency. This home can be approved to provide care for up to six children between the ages of 0-21 years of age.
